Progress report (sort of) on Lou's block

I've drawn a rough pencil sketch of Lou's block and have tentatively decided on colors; stitches come next. If I were just embellishing my own block, I probably wouldn't take this step and would end up with the same colors and stitches right next to each other.

Lou requests no purple (no problem for me, the purple hater!), but I'm wondering if there's room for beige, deep rose, and maybe mauve in her design. Input and help, please!

I think so, gray would also look good, in my opinion.

Thank you, Kathi! I hadn't thought of gray, but you're right!

Off to diagram stitches now!

First off, I finally received Rebecca's Block today! yea! (It did have the wrong address on it~) It is gorgeous, more so in person! I can't wait to start working on it.
As to my block, Cris, all the colors you mentioned sound great! Also gold as opposed to Silver, but some silver is ok, just not dominate. Remember to leave some blank spots, to make up for mine being bigger! ;-)

Kathi, So what did you have me "pictured" as looking like? :-)

Oh, THANK YOU, Lou! Gold v. silver; I can do that! LOL because my booklet says I like silver better than gold. Glad we're all different! Overachiever that I am, I'm going to try to get some kind of stitching on every seam!

Oh, and Kathi: The picture in Lou's booklet is WAY more glamorous than the one she's posted here! You'll get to see it mid-November!

Well Lou, I had you pictured as older (because you seem so wise)and with short grey hair and glasses (because of my perception of you as older). Seems funny now how our minds make assumptions based nothing in fact. You are much more youthful than I had imagined, hope you don't mind my mental photo of you because I'd love ya no matter what you look like, (hey I loved you when I didn't even realize how pretty you are.)
